Dr. Sloan was born in beautiful Colombia. She became a Medical Surgeon in 1992, received the privilege of a scholarship for Emergency Medicine training in Israel, and during the turbulent 90s, worked for the Social Security Institute, Air Force, and Police, in the busiest EDs in Bogota and Llanos Orientales (Western Flat lands) all that before moving to the US in the 2000. She resumed her medical practice in small steps by first interpreting for Spanish speakers and later as a foreign visiting intern at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She feels that the art and science of medicine are fascinating, and the experience of helping others is undeniably satisfying. Dr. Sloan is humbled every time a human being confides in her, shares secrets, wonderings, and pains; perhaps allowing her the honor to participate in their life journey.
