Joy Zhao, MD

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Zhao completed her internship and residency in neurology at Albany Medical Center in New York and her fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology (EMG, EEG, ambulatory EEG, video EEG, etc.). Dr. Zhao has twenty years of clinical experience and first worked at Valley Medical Center and UW Medicine for over seven years. She then started her private practice, Integrated Neurology Health Services. To overcome some limitations of conventional medicine, Dr. Zhao has incorporated elements of complementary medicine, such as acupuncture, into her regular neurology practice. She is affiliated with St. Anne Hospital and Franciscan Health System. Outside of work, Dr. Zhao is very interested in natural ways to maintain well-being. She enjoys spending time outside with her family on activities such as hiking, learning about wild plants, and exploring the fascinating things that nature offers.
