BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Fournarakis completed his medical degree at the University of Washington in 2001 and finished his pediatrics training at the University of Arizona in 2004. He has remained board-certified with the American Board of Pediatrics since 2004.
Dr. Fournarakis first worked as a pediatric hospitalist at two separate locations in the greater Seattle area while also teaching and supervising family practice residents at both hospitals and working on quality improvement projects. After five years of pediatric inpatient medicine, he moved to outpatient pediatrics. He has worked at five different outpatient clinics in various parts of western Washington, including urban, suburban, and rural communities, involving families of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Dr. Fournarakis also did medical mission work in Uganda and Guatemala in 2006.
In addition to his love of pediatrics, Dr. Fournarakis is also devoted to his family and Greek community and serves as a chanter in his church and as a Byzantine music instructor. His other interests include gardening, traveling (especially to Greece), reading, and exercising. He is fluent in Greek and Spanish.
