BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Leifheit has roots in New York but completed college at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, where he received his Doctor of Osteopathy Degree in 1977. He initially came to the Northwest during internship training. Dr. Leifheit served in Europe as an Army flight surgeon from 1978 until 1982. He has been in private practice in West Seattle since 1991 and specializes in sports medicine.
Dr. Leifheit is a clinical faculty instructor with several Osteopathic colleges, which involves medical students observing/training in his office during many months of the year, so you may be asked to allow a student to join the physician during your visit/treatment. It is entirely your decision to allow such, and we trust you will be open to this. Dr. Leifheit’s interests include photography, history, travel to see his children, and many outdoor sports.
"Throughout my extensive experience as an independent healthcare provider, I have learned that the effective management and treatment of musculoskeletal pain are greatly enhanced when we invest the time to educate patients about the factors contributing to their pain. This empowers patients to exert more control over potentially debilitating conditions. For further information on this topic, I invite you to explore my website at SeattleSpineInBalance.com."
ICW brings independent local healthcare providers together to collaborate, share resources, and help each other grow.
ICW gives providers more control over their patients’ care. We provide the resources and support independent providers need to build their practices.
